Booking a journey
Infospread has developed a feature for booking flexible and demand responsive services inside the regional transport authority’s app. This feature creates a seamless transition between demand responsive service and services on scheduled routes.
How it works
Demand responsive service means that the route is only serviced if one or more customers have booked a journey in advance. Until now, these booking have normally been handled by the regional transport authority’s call centre.
The feature is activated using a booking button that appears when the customer makes a journey search. The booking button is shown next to the demand responsive transport routes, enabling booking of the entire journey inside the app.
This service adds value to the customer while reducing administration for the regional transport authority, a win-win situation.
